When I first bought this game, I didn't yet have Xbox Live. My first thought was still "Wow." and I thought of it as a great game. Then I got Xbox Live and I thought "Holy Sh#t, this is awesome!" This review will be shorter than my Godfather 2 one, because there is nothing to criticize! The multiplayer can only be matched with Halo and would still win, the graphics and audio are top-notch, the gameplay is fun and realistic, the controls are good, and it there is replay value in single player, and you will never get bored of the multiplayer. If you do not own this game yet, something is extremely wrong with your brain. Go out and buy it NOW, Xbox live or not.

I'm sorry thats all I can say its over rated most ps3 owners say its way better than halo 3 thats because they don't have halo 3 but It is a great game I just think its over rated

I love the Call of Duty franchise. Big Red One, Finest Hour, 2, 3, 4, and World at War.
Can't wait MW: 2. This game is so far the best CoD game, the best 07 game, maybe the shooter of this generation, and easily in the the top 10 best shooters of all time.
If you video games, and you don't have this one, you NEED it. If you don't have a 360 or PS3, go buy one just for this.

Call of duty 4. probably one of the best online mulitplayer games made. It seems as if Call of duty wold at war is great but i personally just think its too slow paced. Dont get me wrong their both addictive but in call of duty 4 you act instead of set up a game plan. Ive played a lot of war games online but the gun selection and attachments are wonderful. Feel free to comment on how you feel about what i said. ill listen to anyone

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is a pretty good game, but not great. I did not like this game as much as everyone else did. The multiplayer is the best i have ever played, but the multiplayer is not the main part of games, the Storyline and gameplay on campaign mode is, and this game's storyline was not good and the gameplay is really nothing special. Average.

The Call of Duty series has a very large fan following, and for good reason. It's great at what it does. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare takes what was already great and gives it a dose of steroids. Based in modern times it has a short but intense single player campaign. The majority of the storyline takes place in two locations, the Middle East (which is apparently a single, very large country) and Russia.

The campaign is unique in several aspects. Instead of playing a single character throughout this mode, you play two. You also get to experience the death of your character not once, but twice. Though this is something rarely put into games, I thought it really went along with the Call of Duty series, where you always have "filler" troops that get killed off while you're fighting.

The actual gameplay doesn't fail to deliver on excitement either. Every moment is packed with action, from the run-and-gun fighting in the Capital to the strategic house by house clearing of a town. Even when it's not fast paced, it's intense. Like when you have to line up that perfect shot you only get one chance to make, then running for your life as an entire army chases you down. Or watching your brothers in arms get murdered and being thrown a pistol to make the game ending kill.

When you're done with single player mode you move on to the multiplayer, which is by far the best part of this game. The progressive leveling system allows you to gain experience as you play, unlocking new weapons and abilities, called perks.

When you reach the max level, 55, you get a chance to enter Prestige Mode. This wipes all your data, from unlocked weapons to completed challenges, moving you back to level 1. The reward for doing this is a shiny new medal that all can see. After completing all ten prestige modes, you finally earn the coveted Golden Cross. After 605 levels of multiplayer action, you deserve it.

Yeah! an another wonderful i mean awesome game developer by infinity ward i am glad treyarch was not on the line...

I don't like treyarch because they only put actions but not focusing on the story...

Call of Duty 4 is an FPS game that will surely brings intense action because of the realistic gameplay you will encounter and because of the awesome graphics it had. I like the multiplayer too alot because they do have created too many different maps and they were still making some downloadable contents like maps, patches, and more..

The story focuses on Sgt. Jackson and Sgt. Soap and their fight with Zackhaev.
On The Marine Team you will have Lt. Vasquez and on the Sas team you will have Cpt. Price and Gaz. All i can say is this is the best game ever! ( You will know what i am saying when you finish the game ).

I do prefer this game to be played on PC because it's hard to control when you are using an Xbox 360 but it usually depends on your taste..

I recommend you to play this in regular.. when you will play it on recruit mode I'm sure you will be bored because the AI's are too weak.. (that's why it's recruit).

thats what I think of when this game is in mind. As I think of my adrenalin starts pumping and I can't wait for round 2!

when i buy a first person game i expect some fun outta the multiplayer. but with cod4 it's hard to do so because when i die it's because i was careless of my surroundings as a sniper or the worst out of them all grenade spamming. the game has an interesting mechanic of letting you pick the weapon you want for the map which is fine but people use perks that are nooby like there's no fricken tomorrow. martyrdom the one i am most concerned about is my main gripe lemme give an example. say your on a map with alot of tight quarters and your in a hallway a guy rushes you with a shotgun but you noscope him, believing you won the struggle it is to your aggrevated surprise that he has left a very nasty trap ,a grenade.you just got the game and you are baffled as to where that lone grenade had magically come from and i will say another thing the game gives you a kill cam to see how you got killed. and i get pissed when i see the guy dye in the video of me killing him but only to also find that the battle isn't over as there on the floor magically coming out of his ass is a grenade. wth is up with that!! Now that was only 1 of the 2 negatives in the game the 2nd one came from the campaign. in campaign....... you are a sponge now not just any sponge, a bullet freaking sponge! and the mechanic baffles me. one moment you're out in the open just trying to get to cover when exactly 50 bullets fly in your ass and your character takes it like a man and doesn't care. but at the last friggin second you fly into cover 1 and only 1 terrorist is smart enough to realize that you have a head he shoot you in head to make you die. but why don't they realize that at first glance. whatever time to get into the good stuff. what game has terrorists that actually resemble their counterparts in real life. well this game has the balls to go out and say, hey, these are terrorists prepare for war. That's how the game is actually designed in a way. one half you are sgt. paul jackson in the usmc division but as soap mctavish you are in the stealthy part of the game in the sas dunno what it means.the multiplayer is polished in a way. it....... has a sense that is good in a game, the perks are nice to customize your veteran. but i've dragged this on too long. overall good game. but martydom sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
