Dead Space

Dead Space could never be more alive!

This game is AMAZING. I personally usually am not a huge gamer, but Dead Space really got me hooked. I love that you can upgrade your "rig" (suit) and your guns. The thing that I like most about the game is the objective finder. This is very very helpful. With this innovative feature you are not just following an icon or an arrow its an actual path, so your not stuck in a level for hours and hours searching for a stupid battery. Not as scary as it's made out to be, yet that might because i set it to the highest brightness. Very addivtive gameplay. The one thing that really make or breaks the game for me is achievements. Which in Dead Space there are plenty to keep you coming back for more.

One of the best games of the year

Dead Space was a very surprising game for me. After all of the cool marketing for the game, I expected it to be a huge disappointment. I couldn't have been more wrong.

This game is truly frightening. I didn't think video games could put you on the edge of your seat and make you jump out of it, until Dead Space came along. I recommend playing this game with no lights on in the room. The audio is creepy, the visuals are dark and it will make you jump atleast a few times, I promise you that.

The story is amazing. Trying to find out what went wrong on the space station and how these horrible creatures have been created, gives you one fantastic and addicting game.

OMG AWESOME!!!!

Dead Space. The title of the game already sounds like a great game,but it gets waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. And creepier. It is extremely violent, and the dismemberment concept is wicked.The 0 gravity sections are insane, and the vacums make you hurry, hurry, hurry. Even if you're battling tons of enemies. My only problem is that your companions treat you like their work mule. Otherwise its an excellent game and I REALLY recommend you get it.

Freakin' awesome.

This game is an incredibly fun game, with well-paced mixes of action and storyline. You do seem to go on an incredible amount of fetch quests, and towards the middle to the end of the game your crewmates start to treat you as their lackey, not their colleague, but that only occasionally distracts from the stellar gameplay. Severing limb by limb never gets old, and each encounter is different every time depending on your concentration and the amount of enemies nearby. You need to know the different types of enemies if you are to survive, and you'll find out by trial and error what techniques are effective against different enemies and what aren't (ProTip: NEVER SHOOT A FAT GUY IN THE STOMACH!). Once in a while the enemies will play dead, posing an interesting dilemma: "Is he dead? I only have a bit of health left. Should I shoot him in the face, just to make sure he's dead? But I only have a bit of ammo left, it might be wasted for nothing! I..." etc., etc. To be honest, my only real quibble with this game is a minor one: sometimes, in certain areas, areas will be turned into "Quarantine Zones" when scripted enemies burst through, and you cannot escape until every enemy is killed. The enemies are supposed to rush at you, right? But once in a while I'll "kill" an enemy, then keep fighting other enemies. Turns out later, the first one I killed was playing dead. But they're supposed to come at you!

In any case, this is a stellar game, and I recommend this for a buy.

EA finally delivers with a great action game!

This game is just plain fun! I only onequestion; is his suit so heave that cannot jump either then while performing a gravity jump? This game is also the creepiest game I've ever played. It has startled me more then when I was a kid playing Resident Evil the first time on the PSone. I think the story is great, you find out from videos/audio/text files on how things came about. It is also great fun to hack enemies away at the limbs!
