NBA 2k9, Making This Season Matter

NBA 2k has only been the leading NBA game for some years now. But, it has been the leading SIM NBA game ever since it came out with NBA 2k for the Dreamcast. And lucky for us, it has been deliering and improving for the last 9 years. NBA 2k9 is the best basketball game as yet. It has the whole package: Good Visuals, Beautiful Graphics, Good Audio, and (most importantly) Great Gameplay.

NBA 2k9's only weaknesses are the defense, default settings and online gaming. Don't get me wrong though, the defense is tight, but the problem is that it hasn't evolved as much as the offensive part of the game, but it's still pretty good. The problem with the default setting is that it's really not that good for hardcore sim players, which is mostly the fan base of 2k, but it's a good thing that there are a lot of sliders you can adjust by yourself to have the best basketball experience you can. But still, default settings have to be better than this in the future releases. The online gaming has had a lot of issues from just not being able to connect to a scary freezing of the PS3. But the 2k team have been working hard on fixing this, and it has definitely improved over the past week.

Another note is the new 2k Insider feature, which is supposed to be 1 guy they hired to do all the adjustments for every roster move, tendency, and progression. Can 1 guy do all that? Well, yeah, but it may not be as accurate as you may want. The good thing about this is that there is also a feature called 2KShare, where you'll be able to download rosters, created players and even gameplay sliders which are uploaded by other gamers, which is a very nice addition.

All in all, if you are a basketball enthusiast, then I definitely encourage you to buy this game, as this is the best basketball game right now.

2K9 is brilliant

....And still b-ball champions. 2K9 outshines any other basketball (here that ea) game by far. With the graphics alone no one can touch it.

Pretty Good

I have always liked the 2K franchise, especially back on the Dreamcast. This was the first 2K game i played on a "Next Gen" console, and i loved just about everything about it. The visuals look great, i like seeing sweat on players at the end of the game, the controls are pretty good, i kind of don't like the shooting stick but it does make it easier to shoot 3's. Like most sports games it does get repetitive after awhile, i did however think this game would be the best in the series i was kind of let down, but if you have always liked the 2K series you would love this game!
