Travel back to the undersea city of Rapture in BioShock for the PlayStation 3, where creepy little sisters will remind you, Angels are waiting for their kisses, meaning it's time for them to stick the needle in a corpse and collect its -- uh -- stuff. And, rest assured, there will be plenty of twisted enemies for you to shoot, or burn, or freeze, or sting with bees from your hands. BioShock was one of the highest-rated games of 2007 on the Xbox 360, and its spooky atmosphere, intense shooting action, and philosophy-inspired plot about a failed underwater utopia have made it one of the most influential games to come along in years. The PS3 version has new features such as a Survivor difficulty mode, Trophy support, and new Add-On Game Content available for download.

this game is worth the wait for ps3 owners. the visuals are just plain fantastic. gameplay is one of the deepest i've ever experienced. it immersed me into a fantasy world of corruption and gene modifications. words cant really describe this game. you have to play it to truly appreciate it. this is one of those rare games that make you feel, and i felt a lot.

Mmm

what to say i only got this game from seeing all the reviews for it i liked the ghraphics the gameplay has some nice ideas but been stuck in a world of crazy peitionts and doctors haunting you with pipes its just not my thing . it was just a waste of money and time i would play it on PC and only if i was bored to hell and had nothing to do !

Wow, what a surprise

Everyone knew that it was gonna be a 5, but I want to actually go in depth about it. The story has me hooked, and listening to every audio diary is more of a pleasure than a way to get a trophy. Speaking of that, the trophy system is perfect, and although some are really hard (Beating it on Hard and Survivor without dying!!!!!! Do you want us to throw our controllers at the TV), it is very enjoying to get them all. The graphics are extremely breathtaking, so much so that I feel that I'm actually getting pwned by a big Daddy, and the noise and music make me feel even more immersed. The RPG elements make it a game playable for years. If you have the 360 version, you don't need this one, but if you don't, you need to get this game. Period.

  • Oct. 16, 2008 Review: Review: BioShock (PS3)

Novelist and philosopher Ayn Rand, whose work served as one of the inspirations for BioShock, preached that, no matter the circumstances, "A" would always equal "A". Well, it would appear that whether it's on the Xbox 360, PC or PS3, BioShock will always be BioShock, and that is a good thing indeed. Debuting on Sony's monolithic system over a year after it hit the 360, BioShock remains an engaging and utterly breathtaking experience from beginning to end and it gives PS3 owners the chance to see what all the commotion was about.

THE BOTTOM LINE: PS3 owners have waited over a year for the chance to visit the underwater utopia (or is it dystopia?) called Rapture, but they can finally stop holding their breath and plunge head first into the amazing depths of BioShock. But if you've already plumbed the game's depths, there's no real compelling reason for a return voyage-at least, not until the DLC content releases.
