Alma is back with a fearsome vengeance to bring supernatural wrath and pain to the scientists who have mistreated her.
The first F.E.A.R. shocked first-person shooter gamers with horrific imagery, bloody shootouts, and razor-sharp action sequences. The series is most notably known for the little girl in a red dress, and was revealed that this little girl, Alma, had powerful psychic abilities that could destroy the world. That's why in the first game you were brought in as "Point Man" of the First Encounter Assault Recon team, to disband the Armacham Technology Corporation from using Alma's genes to clone a powerful army of Replicant psychic soldiers. In the end, Alma's pissed-off paranormal spirit is released and you discover that the character you play as is her son; only to be blasted in the face with a nuclear explosion moments later.
Confused Yet?
So where does that leave us with F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin? A clean slate means a new protagonist named Michael Becket, Alma is still on the loose, and there is an even deeper plot. Project Origin starts 30 minutes before the nuclear end of the first game. You pick up and play at this point with Becket's Delta Force squad on a mission to arrest the president of Armacham, Genevieve Aristide. The same nuclear bomb from the first game explodes, Aristide slips away, and you get sent to the hospital where you're equipped with the same hyper-reflexive actions as the "Point Man" from F.E.A.R.
These hyper reflexes allow you to slow time, dodge bullets, shoot grenades in midair, but also open a paranormal channel between you and Alma. This is where the Japanese-inspired horror elements come in to play as Becket is relentlessly haunted by visions of Alma and her wrath. You may recall a certain terrifying vision from the first game that presented Alma walking on a blood-stained ceiling as tears of blood dripped down the walls. Prepare to experience even more frightening moments than that in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.
Alma Gonna Shoot
It's no surprise that F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin already plays well for its February release date. The graphics are just as good as the first game, complete with slow-motion bullet ripples, sizzling particle effects, and plenty of blood splattering. Needless to say, Project Origin is the perfect follow-up to the critically acclaimed, yet paranormally insane F.E.A.R.

I obviously don't post or hang around here enough to know anything about B4NNEDM4N, but he's obviously either funny, annoying, or something else.
Anyway, I played the first F.E.A.R and I liked it until the ending. I'm not going to spoil it, but I thought it was kind of like, "what the hell" and didn't like it all that much. But, I'll probably get the sequel because I did play the first one.
I just hope its ending is better.
