Rockstar intends to 'grow relationship' with Nintendo

Coy publisher won't say if this means the Grand Theft Auto franchise is making a jump to the Wii, however.

Take Two CEO Ben Feder was asked point blank Thursday if a new Grand Theft Auto game on the Wii was now a possibility, given the console's runaway success this generation.
His answer? More than a maybe, and mischievously close to a confirmation.
"Without commenting specifically on whether GTA is coming to the Wii or not, I will say that Nintendo and Take-Two work very very well together," Feder said during a conference call with reporters. "Rockstar and Nintendo work very well together. We intend to continue to grow that relationship.
Feder said Rockstar had already invested "an enormous amount of time and effort working with Nintendo" but would not comment further on any rumors or speculation.
Meanwhile, sales of Grand Theft Auto IV have reached the point where Take Two could probably take its time with whatever it ends up doing. The title, which launched earlier this year, reached 10 million units sold on Thursday.

Why? why should Wii be separated from the other two? Why not bring the next big GTA game to all 3 consoles? And let other 3rd parties continue to work on Mature titles for the Wii

If it does come to the Wii, it will probably be some family appropriate knockoff like most Wii games are compared to their PS3-Xbox 360 counterparts. I can just see the new title:
GTA: Family Beach Orgy!

even though i really hate the whole gta franchise, take two can easily rack up some serious profits if they developed one on wii

Your joking right!! Rockstar would have to half ass the next game for the Wii to be able to handle it. No way!!

Most people consider GTA4 a step down from the PS2 games... No reason they couldnt make a good one for Wii. Just have to put your fanboyism aside for a bit.I mean the first next gen GTA was a let down to many. It should have surpased San Andreas but failed. I'd much rather they spend the time making a great game then spending the time making great graphics but a poor game. Wii is the pefect console for that. Just look at Force Unleashed. Wii version has tons of content over the PS3 and 360 versions because the dev wasnt forced to put all their time into graphics.

I think that GTA would be great for the Wii! We love the games although some have been better then others and I agree, why not on the Wii, I think that with the way the Wii plays, we'd have to get a little more physical don't you???? and what parent wouldn't think it would be better playing a video game that the kids actually have to get up and move around??
