Report: Rockstar requested take-down of Grand Theft Auto DS leaks

Rockstar allegedly flexed its legal muscles Tuesday when it forced a web site to remove specific details about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto DS title.

The mystery continues...

The mystery continues...

Specific details emerged about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Stories Tuesday, and Rockstar promptly had the information pulled from the Internet.

Gaming site UGO posted the information, which came in the form of a user survey asking specific questions about a sandbox-style portable title with missions, 20 hours of gameplay and stylus-based mini-games.

Before the information was pulled, however, fellow gaming blog Destructoid swiped the info and pasted it in its entirety.

As for th authenticity of the info, UGO had this to say yesterday:

So Rockstar just contacted us and said that the info we posted was the result of a broken NDA and that we had to yank it down. Cue sad trombone.

Here are some further details on the title, but remember that this is from a survey, and is in no way indicative of what may, or may not be, included in GTA: Chinatown Stories.

If the survey is accurate, the game will feature a mature storyline greenhorn gang member. There could be competitive/cooperative online multiplayer, as well as 70 missions. The survey mentions 20+ hours of gameplay, with certain missions having high replay value.
