If you are a regular reader of PC gaming magazines and Web sites, then you probably have noticed that a lot of the high-end video cards reviewed in these sources have remarkably similar benchmark performances in Quake III. Can that many video cards be that similar when it comes to benchmarks? The answer of course, is no-a situation that has annoyed a lot of gamers, myself included.
